MasterClass @ CERN: fees, dates and what's included

A transparent breakdown of the programme — the seven days, the full fee picture, and exactly what is and isn't included.

Parents evaluating the MasterClass @ CERN deserve a clear, unromantic account of what it involves and what it costs. This is that account. For anything specific to your child's grade or the current batch, the fastest route is a direct conversation — but here is the full shape of it.

What the seven days look like

The programme is a seven-day immersion built around CERN, in Geneva. Rather than a passive tour, students move through a structured arc: orientation and the science foundations, guided access to CERN's facilities and detectors, sessions with working scientists, and a capstone project that students develop and present. The week is designed for Grade 9–12 students — pitched to stretch them without assuming university-level prior knowledge. You can read the day-by-day version on the Experience page.

The full fee picture

We publish fees transparently because vagueness about money is where trust breaks down. The programme investment has three components:

  • CERN programme fee — CHF 4,000, paid to UniConsult Education Services LLP / the programme.
  • UniConsult management fee — ₹80,000, covering visa support, coordination, capstone mentoring, on-ground support and certificates.
  • Additional services — ₹15,000, covering travel insurance, documentation, pre-departure prep and the project portfolio.

All figures are indicative and confirmed at batch booking, since exchange rates and batch dates affect the final number. International flights from India to Geneva are not included — UniConsult coordinates group flight options separately so families can travel together where possible.

What's included in the programme fee

Six nights' accommodation near CERN, all facility access and tours, meals per the programme schedule, local Geneva transport for all seven days, the official CERN certificate, capstone mentoring, priority visa support, a UniConsult coordinator on the ground throughout, daily parent WhatsApp updates, and a 24/7 parent helpline during the programme. Teacher travel is covered by CERN.

Payment

We require full payment of the programme fee at the time of booking. A student's place in the batch is confirmed only once payment has been received in full — this keeps the batch size accurate and ensures every confirmed seat is secure.

Dates

Batch dates are confirmed on a rolling basis and seats per batch are deliberately limited to keep the scientist-to-student ratio meaningful. Because dates and availability change, we share the current batch calendar directly rather than publish a fixed list that goes stale. The quickest way to get the live dates for your child's grade is to request them — we'll send them straight over.

Limited seats isn't a sales line here — a small cohort is the whole point. The mentorship doesn't work at scale.

How to secure a place

Two steps. Register your interest — through the Apply page or on WhatsApp — and a UniConsult advisor will contact you within one working day with the current dates, confirm availability, and walk you through the itinerary and fees. If it's a fit, your place is secured with the booking payment.
